Job Description

Are you a school leaver eager to dive into the world of accounting and finance? Do you have a strong interest in numbers and a determination to succeed in the financial sector? We are seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our dynamic team within our Financial Reporting department. This is a fantastic opportunity to kickstart your career in accountancy with a leading firm that values growth, development, and innovation.

During your training period, you be involved in a mixture of accounts preparation and corporation tax work for clients across a vast range of industries and sizes. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing accurate financial reporting for Managers, Partners and clients.
  • Producing profit and loss accounts and balance sheets
  • Performing reconciliations of accounts and resolving discrepancies.
  • Preparing corporation tax computations and returns
  • Developing and applying technical knowledge through on-the-job training and formal qualifications
  • Building working relationships internally and with clients
  • Assisting with ad-hoc project work as required

Minimum Requirements:

  • 96 UCAS points across 3 A-Levels or an equivalent level 3 qualification
  • GCSEs in Mathematics and English at grade 5 or higher
  • Great numerical and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in work.
  • A proactive and self-motivated attitude towards learning and professional development.
  • Legal eligibility to work in the United Kingdom.
