Job Description

The Platform Engineer (VP) will be responsible for the implementation (where applicable), design and enhancement of our core portfolio reporting and wealth management systems, with a focus on Addepar and its integration into the broader advisor and client experience ecosystem. This role requires strong technical capabilities, paired with business acumen to deliver user-centric solutions for advisors and UHNW clients. The ideal candidate has experience building and scaling wealth tech platforms, with a deep understanding of portfolio data structures, reporting workflows, and platform usability.

Job Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and optimize Addepar configurations, data models, and platform workflows to support portfolio reporting, billing, and alternative investment transparency
  • Support automation and simplification of operational processes across wealth platforms
  • Lead and contribute to projects aimed at improving the advisor and client experience, including the design of intuitive reporting, dashboards, and digital touchpoints
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable, maintainable system designs
  • Ensure data quality, security, and consistency across platforms, especially in post-M&A onboarding scenarios
  • Partner with the data and reporting teams to build solutions for managing data operations issues e.g. UVF errors, FX validation, offline transactions, and benchmark setup
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in wealth management data flows, product capabilities, and advisor/client experience use cases
  • Serve as platform engineer for all US-based M&A systems and data integrations

Qualifications

  • Minimum 6 years of experience in wealth management technology, with a focus on platform engineering, solution design, or systems integration
  • Proven hands-on experience with Addepar configuration and engineering, including system-level architecture, data feed setup, reporting schema, and integrations
  • Experience implementing advisor and client-facing platform solutions and optimizing end-user experience
  • Strong understanding of portfolio data, asset classes (including alternatives), and billing/reporting methodologies
  • Ability to manage ambiguity and break down complex problems into actionable steps
  • Familiarity with client portals, CRM systems (Salesforce preferred), and financial and estate planning platforms
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with business, operations, and engineering teams to deliver technology solutions that support the advisor workflow
  • Experience in wealth management financial services or asset management required, within wealth management strongly preferred
  • Experience supporting technology integration efforts post-M&A is a bonus
  • Exposure to agile or hybrid project delivery models is required
  • Strong problem-solving, documentation, and project execution skills
  • Experience with data engineering or data analysis desirable
