Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Consolidation Accountant to join our Global Consolidation Team. The candidate will be responsible for managing the consolidation process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. This role requires a strong understanding of financial reporting, consolidation methodologies and experience working with multi-entity structures. Key responsibilities include:

  • Together with the rest of the consolidation team, transition of existing consolidation process from external consultants to in-house, maintaining timeliness and accuracy of consolidation of financial statements for multiple entities.
  • Assist in the implementation and improvement of consolidation software/systems
  • Leverage new GL system (Netsuite) and new consolidation system (Onestream) being implemented in 2024 to improve consolidation process and ease of review
  • Manage intercompany eliminations and reconciliations to ensure accurate consolidated results
  • Ensure consistency of process/results across entities under consolidation
  • Develop and maintain documentation of consolidation processes and procedures
  • Work with advisors in order to ensure complete and accurate purchase accounting/consolidation of any acquisitions
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations and company policies
  • Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and assess their impact on consolidation

QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Qualified Accountant, ACA/ACCA/CPA designation required
  • 4-7 years post qualification experience
  • Advanced/Expert skills with Microsoft Excel
  • Experience in consolidation accounting, preferably in a multinational environment
  • Proficiency with general ledger software & systems – experience with NetSuite and OneStream are highliy preferred, but not required
  • Experience working in an internal accounting team of an asset management/wealth management company, publicly traded company preferred; experience gained in an external auditor capacity is also acceptable
  • Detail orientated, excellent analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage priorities effectively

With respect to positions in our New York Office, the expected base salary ranges from $150,000 -$190,000. It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, and education. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
